STATEMENT OF FAITH

Five Talents Audio exists to activate more Scripture in people's lives through the professional re-enactment, recording and publishing of Biblical and extra-biblical texts, sleep aids, homeschooling tools and seminary resources (primarily from proven sources like The Dead Sea Scrolls).

We believe that the Bible alone (66 Books), as first declared by the 1st Century Church, and later Inspirationally ratified by the church fathers, is God’s Word. It was made flesh in the Person of Jesus Christ, the Creator of all things (John 1:1-18), and inspired by the Holy Spirit. We also believe He has used other ancient texts to reveal His character, much the same as He has done in modern times with authors like C.S. Lewis, J.I. Packer, Oswald Chambers, and A.W. Tozier. While the Bible is the only authority in all matters of faith and conduct. (2 Timothy 3:16,17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; and 2 Peter 1:20,21), its proper context is best understood by studying the prevailing culture and literature of its writers.

We believe that God the Father is perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom, and measureless in power, and that He showed His amazing love by sending His Son to die for our sins so that we might have eternal life with Him in heaven. (Luke 18:27; John 3:16,17; Romans 11:33; Titus 3:3-7, 1 Peter 1:16; 1 John 4:7-10; Revelation 4:8.)

We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, God Himself, and that He became completely man. Conceived through the power of the Holy Spirit, He was born of the virgin Mary (Luke 1:35). Jesus lived a sinless life, and chose to die as the perfect blood sacrifice for the sins of all believers. He was bodily resurrected from the dead and appeared to many people. He now sits at the “right hand of God”, interceding for the sins of His people. He will come in glory to righteously judge all people based on their acceptance or rejection of Him (Mark 14:62). Jesus is the only way to bridge the gap of sin between God and people, thus He is the only way to have PEACE with God. (Romans 5:1)

We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts the world concerning sin, righteousness, and judgment. He is the power that believers have received which enables us to love as Jesus loves. (Matthew 5:48, 2Timothy 1:7, 1Corinthians 13:10, Galatians 5:22-23).

We believe that humankind was created in the image of God and given rule over all the earth. Humans forfeited everything when we chose to disobey God. As a result, fear, sorrow, tears, pain, sickness, death, and all that is “not good” came into existence. All of the people who have lived since that time have been born into a sin nature (Psalm 51:5), for which the penalty is death (Genesis 2:17, Romans 5:12-17).

Only by trusting Jesus as Savior and by making Him Lord of my life (Mark 1:15) can we be made holy and acceptable to God again and have the all-surpassing hope of being in His glorious presence once again in heaven. (Philippians 3:7-8, Revelation 21:4)
